Our Story
Amistad Freight Services was founded in 1999 by brothers Mark and Justin van Loben Sels with the belief that honesty and integrity are core business principals that should never be ignored. With over 30 years of combined experience in agriculture, produce and transportation, Mark and Justin set out to form a company in which customer care and commitment came first.
Today, Amistad Freight Services has grown to include more than 5,000 carefully selected carriers and currently provides freight transportation services to several of the nation’s largest producers of perishable goods. As we continue to grow, the values that Mark and Justin grew up with as part of a five-generation California farm family remain our guiding principals. Personal responsibility, fairness and honesty will always be the foundation of our company.
